Jim Arney has lived in Coos County all his life and has been in the construction business as a general contractor for over 30 years. 

He takes great pride in his reputation as a meticulous builder, and his attention to detail and exceptional finish work can be found in the numerous custom homes he has built over the years.  Jim is also know for his jovial personality and ability to work well with customers and subcontractors. 

Jim and his wife, Cinda, live just north of Coquille in a beautiful little subdivision they’ve been developing for the past two years.  Cinda is actively involved in Arney Construction as Jim’s partner, handling the bookkeeping and working with Jim to coordinate scheduling and communication with customers. 

Jim & Cinda also own and operate Express Blinds & Beyond, LLC - a Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Gallery store located in downtown Coos Bay.  The store opened in October of 2005 after eight years of operation as a home-based business.  

The couple have 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren.  ReaAnn, 31, lives in Yorba Linda, California with her husband and three daughters.  Shasta, 24, lives in Coquille with her husband and their son and daughter. Cassie, 21, is pursuing a teaching degree at Southern Oregon in Ashland and Savannah, 19, is a licensed CNA, currently living in Central Oregon.

Jim & Cinda are almost as proud of their crew as they are of their family.  Although their experience ranges from 1 year to 30 years, their dedication to their jobs and “doing it right” make all the difference in the end product.
